Frequently asked questions

Do I have to enroll in Medicare at 65?

Not always. Some people can delay Part B when covered through current employment. The employer size, coverage type, and prescription coverage matter.

Is Medicare free?

Most people do not pay a premium for Part A, but Part B generally has a monthly premium. Medicare Advantage, Supplement, and Part D costs vary.

What is creditable drug coverage?

It is prescription coverage expected to pay, on average, at least as much as standard Medicare drug coverage. Your plan should provide an annual notice.

Can I keep my doctor?

That depends on the coverage structure and plan. Provider participation should be verified before enrollment and periodically afterward.

Does it cost extra to work with an agent?

There is no charge for the Medicare consultation or enrollment assistance provided by Anchor Point Benefit Group.

Can you help with my current plan even if I do not change?

Yes. Questions about doctors, prescriptions, benefits, or plan use are welcome.
